In my profession I come across a lot of very nice thoroughbreds who are not cut out for the race track but are perfectly fine for pleasure riding or competition. When these horses have out lived their usefulness for racing they need to find a new job or risk going to auction. I have bought some of these horses in the past to make into event horses for myself. Some have been successful and are now retired. They have become "A" rated hunt seat horses and pony club horses. Currently I have some horses who are not going to make it very far past Preliminary so they need new careers. I also have some horses who are very nice and could go further but do not have a lot of time under their belt. They have started basic dressage work and jumping. I take them cross country schooling farly early to get an idea about how they are in the open and over natural obstacles like water and ditches. The less brave ones would be good for the hunter or jumper ring. I would like to know if there is an interest in these types of green horses. Please e-mail me at info@amanda-church.com or call me (302) 561-4666 if you would be interested in purchasing one these horses. I enjoy getting them started and I also understand that retraining racehorses is not something that many people want to undertake. I would like to place them in good homes at the least expensive price possible. Of course the longer they live at my house the more expensive they become. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from some people.
